The Barnsdale Owners Association (BOA), to give it its shorter and more commonly used title, was established in 1988. Approximately 2400 owners of timeshare weeks at Barnsdale in Rutland form the membership of the Association. As it is a limited company, BOA has an elected board of directors. They make up the "Committee of Management" which manages the business of the Association. |
What is the Committee of Management?
The committee consists of Barnsdale Timeshare Owners, or their spouses, who have been elected at a General Meeting to be directors of the BOA, and up to two members elected by BOA members to represent the developer and owner of the resort. A person appointed by the Board to be Company Secretary is also a member of the committee.
What does the Committee do?
- Meets, on average, 8 times a year. and
- Manages the spending of the Sinking Fund to make improvements to the leisure facilities and to maintain standards in the 49 timeshare units by refurbishment and replacing furnishings, fixtures and fittings as required.
- Sets Management Fee levels to ensure that the Management Company has sufficient funds to provide maintenance, administrative and management services for the benefit of owners.
- Agrees a budget of expenditure for each 3-year period.
- Maintains a close liaison with the Management Company in the interest of the timeshare owners.
